Road Report Jan 27, 2012

Hello Leech Lakers,

Its Friday; dark and gloomy, snowing quite heavily. It rained all day Monday which made the roads pretty icy, but with the snow today it will give us something for our tires to grip. They are calling for freezing rain today too but so far it has stayed away.

Friends sent us the attached photo of a sunset off their deck facing our cottage. We thought that it would brighten up your day as has ours to see what the sun actually looks like again. Thanks Greg and Maureen for sharing this beautiful shot. It is appreciated, we needed it.

We are out doing the roads and driveways, so keep an eye open for us.

Road Report - Jan 19, 2012

Hi Everyone,

This week we have had very cold temperatures and everything else weather wise thrown our way. The roads were cleared on Tuesday.

This morning, Thursday, its overcast, cold and snowing. The weather man is predicting 10 - 15 cm of snow with gusting winds. We will be back clearing the roads again.

Even though we have had some pretty cold temperatures, we still have not ventured out onto the lake. As you can see in the photos, the dark patches of snow and there is an opening about 25 feet from our dock. We assume this is one of the many springs in the lake, so be careful if you decide to venture out onto the lake.

Road Report - Jan. Friday the 13th

Hello Fellow Leech Lakers,

Attached are the photos that tell the story of our weather, (click on the photo to enlarge).

Thursday we awoke to an overnight snow fall and throughout the day it was a mixture of snow/rain/ice pellets.

This morning (Friday) we woke up to rain with fog and water patches over the lake. With these inconsistent weather temperatures we have not ventured out onto the lake.

The roads, as well as pull over areas, and the driveways under contract with us have been cleared. So, enjoy your weekend and the beautiful scenery on our lake and as always, drive carefully.

First 2012 Road Report

Hello Fellow Leech Lakers,

As you can see by the photos it is just beautiful around here.

It seems that mother nature wanted to throw everything our way this week - rain, freezing rain, -23, then to +3 and over cast today....WOW!

Take care on our roads we have some icy spots.
