Road Report January 25, 2013
Hello Leech Lakers,
Well just how cold was it......bitter, but looks like we have gone thru the
worst of it. The 50% snow we recently lost to the January thaw is
back.....
The roads are in excellent shape waiting for your arrival to our beautiful
winter wonderland.

Road Report Jan. 17, 2013
Good Morning Leech Lakers,
Well we went thru the January thaw and are now back into the very cold
temperatures. It is beautiful, bright and sunny with -18C right now. Sledders keep your fingers crossed,
the weather man is calling for 10 - 15 cm of snow on Saturday so maybe you
will get out there yet!
During the thaw and accompanying rain we lost about 50% of our snow and
the roads turned into a skating rink. However, we are happy to report that we
have had some fresh snow and the roads are in great shape again.

Road Report - Jan. 10, 2013
Hello
Leech Lakers,
Well here we are at 1:00 this afternoon and we have a beautiful sunny day with
current temperature at +1C. Along with us enjoying our January thaw we have
several of the neighbour's squirrels fighting our Blue Jays and Chickadees
for the bird seed.
The roads are clear and in great shape waiting for your weekend visit. However, we do have the weather man along with Mother Nature telling us it may
not last long as we are suppose to get rain which as you know will make the
roads as slippery as a skating rink. So, as usual, watch the skies and if you do
decide to come to the cottage drive with care.

First Road Report of 2013
Hello Leech Lakers,
Well now the holiday season is over, we hope you all had a great Christmas and
wish you Happy New Year!!
We were lucky enough to enjoy a beautiful holiday season on Leech Lake. We
experienced sun, snow, overcast days and cold night time tempertaures.
The lake is snow covered and we are not sure of the quality of the ice surface,so would not recommend venturing out on it yet.
As always, if you come up to enjoy your cottage this weekend, drive safely and
keep warm.
