Loon Baby
Or loon baby is growing up! It does not have total adult colouring as yet. This past weekend the baby loon appeared by itself. The adult loon(s) will be leaving it on its own more often as it appears that it is able to dive and feed on its own. Eventually the adult(s) will leave for migration and the baby loon will be left on its own. It then must master the art of flying if it is to survive.
Optimistically, our loon will be able to fly and migrate. It will stay down south for 3-4 years before it makes it's way back north again.
